About the team
We are an open team made of players of all skill levels. What unites us is the love of hockey and the joy of being on the ice — score aside. We train twice a week: Wednesdays at Berceni Arena and Sundays at Telekom Arena in Otopeni.
We are an amateur ice hockey team based in Bucharest, Romania, training weekly at Berceni Arena and Telekom Arena Otopeni. The team is open to anyone who wants to play — we don't ask for performance, just sportsmanship and love of the game.

Why Torpedo?
Sport for everyone
The team is open to everyone, regardless of skill level, age, or gender. If you want to lace up skates and hold a hockey stick, you're welcome.
No performance pressure
We don't play for trophies. We play for the joy of the game, the thrill of the ice, and the pleasure of being in a team.
Real friendships
Many of our friendships were born on the ice. Trainings, away trips, and after-game moments are all part of the Torpedo experience.
Consistent rhythm, all season
Two trainings per week, Wednesday and Sunday, throughout the season. Perseverance is the only thing we ask for.
International team
We have players from Romania, Slovakia, Canada, and other countries. At Torpedo, hockey speaks one language — the sound of skates on ice.
Real ice training
We train on real ice at two rinks: Berceni Arena and Telekom Arena Otopeni. 90 minutes of ice, twice a week.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need prior experience to join?
No. We have players who had their first contact with hockey at age 30–40 and players with junior-level experience. What matters is that you want to learn and have fun. Experienced players in the team help newcomers get up to speed quickly.
What equipment do I need?
Full hockey equipment: skates, helmet with cage, shin pads, shoulder and elbow pads, gloves, chest protector, hockey pants, and a stick. For the first training sessions we can help with second-hand equipment recommendations or even lend pieces from teammates.
Where and when does the team train?
Training takes place Wednesday at 21:10 at Berceni Arena (Bucharest, sector 4) and Sunday at 22:10 at Telekom Arena (Otopeni, near Henri Coanda Airport). Check the Training page for the full calendar and attendance confirmation.
Can women play too?
Absolutely. Our team is mixed and includes active female players. At Torpedo, the only selection criterion is the desire to play sport.
How do I join the team?
Easy: write to us via the contact form or on Facebook, tell us about yourself and your experience level, and we'll arrange for you to come to a trial training. There is no fixed recruitment window — we welcome new players year-round.
